i realized most people don’t actually struggle because they lack information.
we already know what’s good for us.
- sleep earlier
- stop doomscrolling
- exercise
- study consistently
- spend less time on short-form content
- focus more
the hard part is staying consistent when everything around us is designed to steal attention.
that’s one of the reasons i started building Proven.
instead of just tracking habits, we’re experimenting with accountability through small financial stakes + daily proof.
you commit to a habit.
put a small amount behind it.
prove consistency daily through screenshots, location check-ins, photos, fitness data, etc.
if you stay consistent, you earn.
if you quit, you lose the stake.
still very early, but seeing posts about boredom, dopamine detoxes, screen time addiction, focus problems etc. makes me feel like this problem is becoming more universal than ever.
curious:
do you think accountability actually helps with habits like screen time, focus, sleep, or deep work?
