10 weeks post fissurectomy/fistulotomy - increased pain

Hi, I had a fissurectomy and fistulomy on March 5th (10 weeks ago). (Also had robotic ventral mesh rectopexy at the same time, so a lot going on lol)

Idk if I had a typical recovery, but I needed 4 days in the hospital because my pain was not able to be controlled. Ive eaten a very plain, bland diet with miralax daily since surgery.

I've avoided posting in any groups until now, in fear of it making my anxiety worse, but I'm feeling desperate and just really praying that this is a
"normal" experience.

I finally felt I was turning a corner pain wise from the fissure/fistula surgeries, and then last week I had a bad bowel movement, and I've had pain/ some discharge since. I'm honestly freaking out.
My colorectal surgeon can't get me in for 2 weeks, which I was initially relieved about, in hopes it would get better in that time and wouldn't have to hear the surgeon tell me this was all for nothing and it failed.

Is it "normal" during this healing process to think you were starting to feel better, and then have a
"flare up"? I'm so worried my surgeries failed. I'm mentally having such a hard time - I can't handle this again. I had my fissure for 2 years before this surgery - it ended up creating a fistula in January, so I finally just went through with all 3 of the surgeries, but worried it was all for nothing.
