Outside cat not used to litter box, need advice

We have an outside car that we've been feeding for a few months. She had a litter of 5 kittens that are now 2 weeks old and we've had to move them all indoors bc it's getting hot and we've had raccoons sniffing around.

Anyway; anyone have any good litter box tips for mama cat? I don't think she knows what to do...I've put her in the box a couple times, put some outside dirt on the litter to make it a little more familiar. She hasn't used it at all. She did have an accident on the floor yesterday . So we've resorted to letting her out occasionally like you would a dog. I would prefer to just leave her inside so she doesn't disappear for some reason or end up preg again. Please help!
