The people in the house before us poured this crazy uneven concrete patch. Seemingly, it was the foundations for a shed or something. I'm in the middle of trying to make it a slabbed patio.

My thoughts on the matter are: thorough clean, build a little frame around the edges, mix and poor self-levelling concrete into the framing, cover with sand and mortar mix once it sets, then place on slabs, fill gaps, wet it, and Bob's your uncle. However, I don't have any experience in this area. And I tend to dream bigger than my capabilities.

Please weigh in- I'm looking for advice as I'm out of my depth with it.
