Hi all, I have an issue where the sound intermittently cuts out. A lot. Figured it would be worth trying to update the firmware on the head unit. Digging into that, it appears I have some sort of iData Maestro product as well.

My question is:

If I flash the head unit firmware, will I have to essentially re-install the maestro functionality and/or re flash the Maestro as well? Been looking around on the interwebs for about an hour and a half and so far, no relevant info.

In case it matters:

• Car is a 2017 Subaru WRX.
• Head unit is a Sony XAV-AX6000.
• Prior owner had this installed, so I do not know if the Maestro is an SR, RR, or RR2. Have not yet pulled the head to flash it, wanting to try to get this question answered first.
• I suspect this is software rather than hardware related (ie bad ground) because 1) when the audio issue is at its worst, the unit freezes and 2) Audio issue happens whether or not phone is plugged in/charging or not.
