Anyone else struggling to organize perfume formulas properly?
I’ve been making perfumes as a hobby for a while now and honestly the biggest struggle for me isn’t even creating formulas anymore it’s organizing everything afterwards 😅
At some point I had:
- spreadsheets
- random notes
- dilution bottles everywhere
- IFRA PDFs open constantly
- no idea which batch I used in older formulas
I started building a small tool (scentinventory) for myself to make this easier, mainly focused on:
- tracking dilutions
- formula organization
- IFRA Category 4 checks
- material costs
- inventory tracking
Still super early, but I’m mostly curious:
How are you all currently organizing your formulas and raw materials?
Are most people just using Excel/Notion or are there other workflows/tools I should look at?
