I’m a single mom with a 4-year-old, and I’m currently trying to find a place to move into by May 1st or the first week of May at the latest.
I have a FHEPS voucher for $2,734, and I’m really struggling with how slow the apartment process is going right now. I’ve been applying, waiting for emails, scheduling showings, filling out applications, and then waiting 2–3 weeks just for decisions… and unfortunately, I’m running out of time.
At this point, I’m really hoping to connect with a broker or landlord who works with vouchers and can move a little faster. I am willing to pay extra broker fees if needed because I just need to secure something stable for me and my child as soon as possible.
I’m open to:
1-bedroom apartments
Studios
Even a private room if necessary
My main priority is just finding a safe, stable place before my deadline.
If anyone here can help, or connect me with someone who can, I would truly be so grateful. Even advice or leads would mean a lot right now.
