Transition to the crib

When did your LO switch from bassinet to the crib? My little girl is almost 5 months and has started rolling over but not quite crawling yet.

Monarchs getting it on

I have resident monarchs for a week now and the male usually hangs out waiting for a female to visit. They then go on a hot pursuit until he pins her down. Very interesting to watch everyday!

Transplanting a mature shrub

How deep do their roots go? How easy or difficult is it to transplant them? Any techniques that have worked for you? I got three mature shrubs—two are about 4 feet tall and 1 is about 2 feet tall. Thanks in advance for any advice!

First monarch caterpillars

First-time native gardener here. Today I found 4 cats in their 2nd instar and 1 in its 1st instar then I noticed a few more white spheres that could be eggs so we’ll see in a few days.

For a split second, I thought of putting shade cloth to hide them from birds but I decided to let nature run its course.

Coral honeysuckle in pots/planters?

Has anyone successfully grown Lonicera sempervirens in big pots or planters? I’m in a row house without a front yard so I’m considering growing it in a big planter outside my bay window. Any advice appreciated!

Two stems—which one to prune?

Hi! First time tomato gardener here. I know pruning is important but what should I do in this case where two stems seem to be growing at almost equal rates (although one has flowers)? Thanks in advance!
