Played & Beat The Game For The First Time

I had a lot of fond memories of the first game back when it came out, I was about 13 or so and loved it yet surprisingly it's taken me this long to play LiS 2. My god I feel like a clown.

LiS 2 might have become one of my favourite video games, genuinely emotionally affected me in a way that I didn't see coming. Sean is right up there with Max in my eyes now (admittedly haven't replayed 1 in a while so maybe a revisit is due) seeing him evolve over the course of the game into someone more capable and in my playthrough at least someone almost heroic, was an absolute treat !

Daniel works well as our superpower and I always found him charming and endearing (maybe helped by not having siblings lmao 💀 ) even when he's pouting or being angry in later episodes. Gameplay wise I think it's stronger than the first and managing to incorporate Daniel's powers into the moment to moment gameplay while keeping Sean grounded I found worked in a really interesting way.

I got the ending where you storm the border and then six years later the boys are running a mechanic shop and Daniel uses his powers on some gangsters. It felt satisfying to me but also left me with a sense of optimistic dread for the pair.

A wonderful game that I'm shocked I didn't play when I was younger. Great stuff.
