Momfluencers filming at Baby Class
I started a new baby class last week and unbeknownst to me one of the other mums runs an Instagram account for her baby. She doesn't show his face and mostly posts content just showing the back of his head or uses an emoji to cover his face.
The babies were all sat in a circle and she was filming him from behind, so when she posted about the class her baby's face wasn't shown but everyone else's was! I messaged her about it and she's apologised and just didn't think about it so it's all good.
It's got a discussion going with my friends - should baby classes have rules about filming? Isn't it just common courtesy to only take photos of your child and avoid getting others in the shot? Does allowing cameras take away from the experience of the class?
Personally I don't post my baby on social media but I wouldn't want to ban cameras totally. If I'm paying £8 for a class I at least want a selfie with us in matching cowboy hats or something. But I never take photos with other children in, let alone share them.
