Least useful "minor "character/"red shirt" death?
I couldn't figure out the proper thing to call the type of character. But, by minor character I mean a character that was only in the story for exposition or episode set up. Also known as red shirts because they are essentially only there as a sacrifice for the plot.
Anyways, there is obviously tons of them. So, I think different ones stick out to people because it triggers something in them.
I'm rewatching and am on >!Season 5 Ep 15. The young boy Lance meets on the subway who just got done telling Lance how he beat cancer and is going to finally start living, then he dies shortly after in Lances arms!< - that felt like such an unfortunate and unnecessary heart string to pull at. It just seems needlessly cruel, but maybe that's just me.
Do any of you have a character death that had that effect on you?
