I came across this while browsing through albums on sale on Qobuz for jazz day and decided to give it a try. What a great little jaunty album. Classic Oscar Peterson to me. Something about the way he plays always sounds delicate/soft even when he's being aggressive. Great balance to the album too, a bit more up beat but very similar pacing to We Get Requests (and that's saying something).

It's well recorded and mastered too. I think it's worth a listen (and it's on sale if buying is your thing like me). Is anyone else familiar with this album?

I debated making this post for too long but I wanted to put this out there since I never see these mentioned or used in tutorials.

What we're looking at are IC pullers (well, technically one is a switch puller for mechanical keyboards). In general these are very cheap and even the pricier titanium one is cheaper than a used mini click wheel or a "for parts" mini.

The tip here is IME using one of these when working on iPods almost guarantees you won't break cables or tear off sockets. A lot of tutorials show using a spudger or spade to lift connectors and while that can work, there's a tool made to do exactly that and it's cheap.

The titanium one is only really needed if you're working on a mini. It's thin enough to clear the body and 30 pin port allowing you to pinch just the connector on the click wheel ribbon cable and lift it up without ever touching anything else. No separated joints on the cable.

The blue one which is the most common, the most useful and the cheapest, is what I use when removing headphone ribbon cables and battery connector cables. It's used the same way, line it up with the clip, pinch the connector, pull up and wiggle it out.

No guarantee's but I have never had anything break using these so I wanted to recommend them since they're cheaper than replacement parts and they've worked every time.
