Kind of a weird story here but, I just received a CD-R from someone with some unreleased music on it. The CD is supposed to have 6 tracks on it, but when I got it today and put it in my computer, there are only 3. Only 3 songs (the same 3) are there when I play it on a standard CD player as well.

The individual I got the CD from did, in fact, burn all 6 tracks onto it. Could this be an error of some sort? Perhaps the CD-R wasn’t finalized properly? Would it be possible that a CD-R that was not finalized will only play a portion of the tracks that the CD is supposed to have? Or, is it more likely that a mistake was made on the part of the individual who burned it?
