More Art From Junk

Don't worry...this wasn't my "good" player. It was a non-functional parts unit I had on hand.

the iu portable CD player

I bought the iu portable CD player and it's not working. once I turned it on I tried changing the volume and nothing changed so I tried the other buttons on the player (pause, skip, stop, etc) and none of them worked. does anyone know how to fix this or should I just return it?

Total beginner to all kinds of repair, baffled by this CD player (SHARP CD-PC651)

These discs all work perfectly beginning to end on a boombox I have, so the problem is entirely the player here

You can see in the video it starts by failing to read all 3 discs, then it... tries? To read some?

After I finished recording, I tried again and disc 2 started to play flawlessly, I got excited... only for it to exhibit this exact same behaviour again on restart

Does anyone know where to even begin troubleshooting this

Need help backing up CDs

I have been collecting CDs for almost 5 years now. I love listening to them on my Discman and sound system at home, but I also create digital backups so I can listen on the portable music player and make copies/mixes for the car. I haven't backed up anything in over a year, though. I want to find new software to do this

What is the best software for this?

In the past, when I first started, I used the basic Windows Media Player to back up everything, but it wasn't very reliable. Over the years, I then used ImgBurn, AnyBurn, and Exact Audio Copy. My absolute favorite out of all of them is Exact Audio Copy; it has the best quality and has great features that the others don't, and it was able to rip hidden pre-gap tracks on some of my CDs that I wasn't able to rip before. Unfortunately, my computer flags it as a virus, so I want a new option to back up my CDs at high quality. I have a ton of new CDs that I would love to add to my music player!

Any help is appreciated! Thank you!

What happens to my tray of my cd player

Honestly it’s so strange, sometimes it closes sometimes you have to close it with the finger or wait for it to close. The CD plays very rarely, it doesn’t even try to spin. But when the close button works all the other stuff works.

What should I do. Thanks

Portable cd player for burned cds

Hello everyone! I am looking for a new portable cd player that will be able to play burned cds along with my store bought ones, could someone give me recommendations for what they use or have? Or is there a way to tell if they play burned cds before buying them? I will probably buy one off ebay depending on the answers i get. Thank you!

UK - can anyone help me burn CDs and DVDs for my kid's devices? Paid of course. I'll provide files

I have a lot of digital media purchases but my kids have no internet access much of the time. It would be good if I could put a few things on disc for their portable players. Happy to pwr per disc and have them posted to me. If someone is open to doing it more in the future that's even better. All for personal use and all media I've already purchased. Would be much appreciated

Is it worth it to buy this CD player?

When I spend money on my CD setup, it is mostly on the CDs. The only player I own is a crappy portable one, which I use on trips and in the house. I am looking for a better player for inside the house. I have a 100 dollar budget, but also I have some specific requirements for the player, which makes the options very limited.

I don't know if anyone has this player, but if you do, is it worth buying?

It is a CD player designed to look like a record player. (That's not one of my requirements)

Problems with disc burning

Hi there. I recently decided to get into disc burning so I could have more ways to play the songs I like specifically vaporwave songs from YouTube, however, despite me reinstalling my drivers, buying a brand new external disc drive and switching burning softwares multiple times my blank CDs won’t show up in my disc dive no matter what I do. I don’t think it’s a problem with the drive since it plays my other CDs fine and it supports burning as well but for whatever reason it still won’t burn anything. I really need help on this so please if anyone has some advice for how to do this it would be much appreciated please

Factory Compact Disc Player

I put on disc one from Led Zeppelin box set.

OG base stereo 2018. Likely last year with CD player.

Dazed and Confused was 3 Dimensional and surrounded me completely.

Apparently CD’s have about three times the audio data vs Bluetooth or USB.

The quality of sound disappeared slowly and I never really noticed how much we were missing musically until now.

Is the Iretrolab All-In-One Transparent CD Player With Bluetooth 5.3 a good CD player or nah?

I saw an ad for this on Instagram and thought that this looks so good and would be nice for my room, but I’m bot sure if it’s a good CD player. If anyone owns it, is it worth it? Is the sound quality good? And how good is the quality?
