I just bought a trailer and new boat (Tracker 1436), however after loading it up, there is about 12-14” of overhang on the transom from rear bunk. The trailer is 14’-5” and the boat is 13’-10”.

I’ve scooted the winch post as far up as it could go already.

I’ve looked into replacing the bunks, but as it is now, the bunk is already ~8” off the support. I fear adding longer bunks would just eventually cantilever.

Anyone have any suggestions on a solution? Should I just look into a new trailer or am I overthinking it. Any help is appreciated.

I do plan on adding an outboard motor.

I’ve been pondering the idea of getting a Jon boat for a long time, but always turned away after being hesitant to tow with the WRX. (I don’t have a truck or SUV). Decided to bite the bullet this weekend and picked this up. Car handles the weight extremely well, I barely even notice the weight behind me. Boat ramp is also smooth. Overall I’m very impressed with this setup.
