Honeymoon destination advice 🌺
Hi everyone! I come here with a very important question. We are planning our wedding for May 2027 and are now thinking about whether we also want to go on a honeymoon right after, or maybe push it to later in the year, like September.
We are from Central Europe and would love to go somewhere exotic. Not on a shoestring budget, but nothing too extravagant either. For context: we got engaged on Maui, Hawaii, and also traveled around O’ahu, Big Island, and Kauai and absolutely loved it there. We also loved our stay in Dewey Beach/Rehoboth Beach in Delaware. We’ve also visited a few places in the continental US. However, we’ve never been to the other side of the world, and destinations like Bali, Okinawa, or Thailand have been on our radar.
We’re not really into “just sit on a beach” type of trips, I would say we’re fairly sporty and adventurous. That said, I’d love a mix of everything: some nature and outdoor activities, city life, cultural experiences, a bit of shopping, and of course some beautiful beaches. Ideally looking at 8–14 days.
