Hello! o/
First, I'll start by saying this to the devs who seems to read this place:
Thank you! The UE5 upgrade has been amazing for me, runs better and even looks much better. Genuinely didn't expect this UE5 upgrade at all, seriously.
Now that my hope for the game getting better is revived, I'm hoping that the game will improve further in future and these are, well, practically my wishes for Christmas this year:
- WASD smoother character turning speed: Whenever I move and then change direction, the character turns pretty much instantly, making the game feel arcadey. I think the game would feel a lot better if the character turned slower, giving it a more weighty feel. I used to run a mod that did just this but for now none are available for UE5. Hoping for that change in the game itself so that mods are not needed. Not sure if this matters but I play with Controller Style Movement ON despite being on keyboard+mouse. The 360* movement just feels nicer to me overall.
- No Zooming Out while Sprinting: A simple change but would go a long way for me if that Zoom Out when sprinting goes away, or at the very least an option in Options>Gameplay to disable it.
- Swap Camera Side with a keybind.
- Ability to change Camera view: Lower, higher, more to the right or left, further, closer, etc. Not very important, but a nice to have feature.
- Show all weapons/tools from toolbar on character: I think characters would look cool all geared up with everything that's placed in toolbar.
- More hairstyles for both male and female characters: I know there are mods but their quality leave a bit to be desired and there's always that risk of mods not being kept up to date.
- Better combat animations (big ask, can skip but nice to have): Currently, attacking has very fast swinging beginning with very little telegraphing at the beginning so it kind of feels basic. On the other side, the tail end of the attacks seem to be slow and last for a quite long time for some reason, staying in that ending pose for a while for some attacks, not sure why. I think having a slower start of swinging with better telegraphing from the standing pose at the beginning and a shorter faster tail end of the attack would make the combat a bit more grounded, weighty and punchy. It might change combat balance in PvP however in terms of predictability. I do not play PvP at all, so, unfortunately, any argument of why this would be bad for PvP balance will fall on deaf ears. I only play Solo/Coop.
Hmm... I think that's all... that I can think of right now.
It's a bit of a dumping of wishes but I genuinely think the game would be better (for me anyway) with these additions. I can understand if some of these seems super nitpicky, but they're important to me.
I really hope the devs read this and I didn't post in vain. Anyway.
Cheers!
