100% P&T from Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis/Partial Thyroidectomy Possible CUE?
Hi everyone, got out in 2010 and had 50% PTSD + 50% sleep apnea + 10 tinnitus = 80%. I had that until I filed a TERA claim for my newly diagnosed Hashimoto’s and my partial thyroidectomy in 2024.
The claim took about 3 months and I was expecting 30% considering the post 2017 hypothyroidism rules and to my surprise they gave me 100% P&T just for my Hashimoto’s and thyroidectomy with SMC-C
According to DC7903 (hypothyroidism) you can only get 100% P&T from this if you have active myxedema and then be reevaluated after 6 months. Myxedema is extreme thyroid dysfunction and total nightmare fuel if you look it up. I didn't nor did I say I had myxedema, but I do experience cardiovascular issues, brain fog, tiredness, and can't do cold weather at all.
I got my rating in April of 2025, am I at risk for a CUE?
