Got back into collecting about a year ago, was getting Pokemon cards for my son and was quickly pulled back into collecting. I collected as a kid in the 80's and very early 90's and I remember when UD was printing baseball cards and I would use my allowance to buy one pack a week hoping for an auto, never hit one. When I started collecting cards again I was overwhelmed with how many autos were out there for so many players, especially the players I followed (Kris Letang, Adam Fox, Wyatt Kaiser) and eventually began collecting them.

The first case are my favorites I've picked up over the past year. My favorite team and my favorite players.

The second case are the Clear Cut Autos I have been picking up, I did pull three personally but purchased the others on the secondary market. I really like how the Dazzlers look the best and try to pick them up when I can.

Last case are the Cup RPAs and Ultimate Signature Masterpieces I have been picking up. The RPAs are just so cool, nothing like this was available when I collected as a kid and if I like the patch and it's not too much I'll pick it up. The Signature Masterpieces again look so cool, I think it's the gold signature that really draws me to them.

I really like the hockey collecting community as well. I have met some really nice people and had several transactions with other collectors and really appreciate how nice everyone has been.

What have I learned over the past year? Ripping new product is awesome, expensive and sometimes disappointing. I would pick up a hobby box when a new product released but that was short lived because my office was filling up with base cards quickly. I still pick up a box of Premier every few months but the prices are really getting out of hand unfortunately. I primarily focus on singles now and building my collection of Penguins players.

I've had a lot of fun over the past year and look forward to growing my collection.

Hi all, this is my third grow and first time I have topped and used LST. The lower branches look very healthy but the upper branches near where I topped my plant look not so good. Should I leave them or trim them off?

Thank you for any advice.

It was disappointing how under represented hockey was at the show, maybe 4 out of the 350 vendors had more than a few random hockey cards. I did find a few cards the for the PC, I was not expecting to pick up a Broduer Autographed rookie but since I spent very little on myself I figured I would get something on the higher end.

My son made out like a bandit with Pokemon cards though, maybe half the vendors were selling Pokemon or gaming cards. It was still cool to see a lot of the vintage baseball cards, had some nice conversations with most of the vendors we spoke with. The show was in CT so we did see some cool Whalers items.
