I just can’t with this, for the life of me I cannot win Darlington in Cup.

I can’t believe this. It’s the regular season finale at Daytona and I’m unfortunately 1 lap short of fuel, and on the back stretch is when I started sputtering.
With me having won both stages, and my teammate Erik Jones right behind me, I decided I didn’t wanna mess up his chance to be the final lock into the playoffs. Erik had that race won! WHY WOULD HE PIT ON THE FINAL LAP!! Even my team owner went in with him!
The AI in this game are on a whole other level of stuff I can’t even say here.
Unfortunately I was not cleared to race Iowa due to a fractured sternum and bruised ribs. Corey Heim was asked to sub in for me. Naturally he outshines Erik and John and gets a P7. Thankfully he’s already going to 23XI next season, but man I’d be in trouble if not.
Yes, Cry Gibbs complaining about Corey outshining him in the Cup series he’s worked so hard to keep him away from is indeed lore accurate.
Missed the corner and couldn’t get back to speed in time. I know there’s no DNFs in this game but i pretended like this was my DNF. I was cleared from the care center but I was still hurt pretty bad.
Edit: Zane caused that, he did not let off the gas once and any movement I made would’ve caused exactly what happened. I was waiting for our cars to basically get free from the bumper lock before trying to move but unfortunately I grazed the wall. I lightly turned left to try and get off the wall but the bumper lock from Zane had other disastrous plans. There was nothing I could do.
Yes this was 100% my fault, but come on, it’s the last lap, I’m in a mid pack car and I have a shot at the win. Ofcourse I’m gonna race hard.
Side note: I was faster than everyone on the corners which is why I was trying to get past Denny so bad. My plan was to pass Byron on the final corner since that’s where my strongest speed is at. Unfortunately, we got a wrecked car out of it. Feel bad for Chase too.

Made some small color updates to my two #82 Legacy Motorclub Cup series schemes. Primarily just did away with the white on the cars.
My spotter didn’t tell me that the car ahead of me was pitting, but even if he did, Ross was way too far up the track to be slowing down right there. Another wrecked race car 😔

I’m starting a brand new play through of sonic unleashed. Does increasing the speed really make any difference? Or should I just focus all of it on the Wherehog level up things?

Yes I know the send and door slam was dirty, i honestly just did that cause I’m tired of the magic rocket boost that some of the AI have. I was so close to finally winning Darlington in Cup. If I had a Radio it would be nothing but screaming and cuss words. I wouldn’t even have done an interview, I would’ve just marked straight into my hauler.
throwbacks I’ve done the past 4 seasons of Cup with Legacy Motor Club for the spring Darlington race. Was lucky enough to be able to use the Hendrick font while it was still available.
Ever since New Era left at the end of last season, Advent Health decides to throw me a bone and sponsor me for my contract year at Legacy Motorclub. Question is do they want to re-sign me? Or do I get Justin Haley treatment. (I’ve won 3 Daytona 500s in my 4 years with Legacy so I feel like they would probably atleast give me another year contract) let me know what you guys think.
I mean I was there so Idk where he thought he was going but his spotter needs to be fired. This has happened to me too many times at phoenix for me to turn the other cheek this time.
I know this’ll most likely be viewed as a Mickey win but a win is a win. I’m glad I managed to make my way to the lead before that yellow came out and ended the race. (Fun fact: last season I pushed my teammate the #43 of Eric Jones to get his first 500 victory, and now this year I win it again. This is a 2 in a row for Legacy Motorclub!)
