Apologies if this isn’t the correct subreddit for this - I’m looking at the possibility of putting some railing on top of this half wall (example photos included). Would anyone have some insight on the best method for securing the 4x4 posts & balusters? I’m skeptical about just mounting the posts to the trim & wondering if there are any tips/tricks/considerations to take note of before I get myself in too deep. As for the balusters, I was thinking about using 2x2s, drilling holes and securing with dowels & wood glue to get the look of the example photos. Any ideas/knowledge/feedback would be greatly appreciated!
