Electricity Query
Hi guys, my sister and I moved into an apartment with 2 roommates in March. The first month, we spent about R800-900 total which was expected tbh. Then around the 20th of April, a new meter was installed in the apartment and all of a sudden, we’ve spent over double what we did in April. The electricity is just being guzzled down and we don’t understand why.
We try to save electricity where we can so the geyser is only one for about 2 hours a day so everyone can shower, the only things that stay on all day are the WiFi router and the fridge and the lights are only on from about 6:30-9:00pm, we all barely even cook as well so the stove is hardly used as much.
Is there anything we can do to find out what is happening or get this fixed? Our lifestyle has not changed but the units are being consumed so quickly and we just can’t wrap our heads around it. This month we spent about R2000 and it’s quite ridiculous.
