Hello,

My mother is visiting me on visitor B2 visa and while arriving at Chicago airport her passport got a Admitted stamp and cbp officer had written ‘Admit till 45 days’.

When cbp officer asked about how long is the visit, she told about 45 days. She has return ticket in 50 days, but cbp officer didn’t ask about it and she didn’t mentioned any return date to him.

However when I check her i-94 online for her entry details for this visit was till 26–Dec-2026 which are for 6 months.

Any idea on what does this means?

1. Do we need to reach out to cbp office to get clarification and see if they can update? Or is there any other process to address this?
