I raised some butterflies over the past 2 weeks from caterpillars and I had to release them yesterday I really miss them so much they were very beautiful do you guys like them….
I shall hopefully get some more pupae before the season is over for the year I want to get some small tortoiseshells next
As part of a work experience week at a local university we went to their observatory where they have a decently large solar telescope on a sturdy tracker mount (I am unsure of the specifics so I cannot really answer any questions lol)
One of the professors (not sure, but person of expertise) set up the telescope for solar imagery and took a few still frames while our student group helped to set a few things up.
These were the results of the photos from last Thursday!

Red admiral, Small tortoiseshell, I’m not sure what the 3rd one (forgot😓), Peacock, and what I assume is a speckled wood.
So I found this chrysalis attached to a cardboard box in my backgarden, I removed it (still connected to a piece of cardboard as to not disturb it too much) and brought it inside as it was almost on the floor and my dog was trying to eat it. Can anyone tell me what butterfly this chrysalis may belong to (or moth maybe???) and how I can help it? Thank you
I fully plan on releasing it if I can help it.

I’ve processed this photo of the moon from my sv705c camera, put it through pipp, autostakkert and registax, but when I try and edit it as a mineral moon, I’m not getting the desired results, can somebody help me- or point out if I did something wrong?

I wasn’t expecting to be able to make much of this as my field of view with my setup is quite large, but I thought I’d try anyways- so I’m quite happy with this.
Only 20 mins of data (3sec subs, ~360 gain) stacked in sharpcap, stretched in siril and background removed using graxpert script in siril.
