Where's MY tip?! @doordash (US)
I'm the one making the food, you're just bringing the orders to the fat fks. Stop waiving me down while I'm busy just to ask me stupid questions like is it ready?
I know I know, I'm paid an hourly wage. That's "fair" in corporate's eyes. But if hourly was so great, why does every dasher opt for the tip method of payment (per order) rather than per mile?
We should get paid PER order, not exploited at a base rate, all while companies like DD, GH, UE (and their subcontractors in pajama pants) exploit us for their own profit. EVERYONE exploits fastfood. If McD's wants better drive times, just pay your workers per order based on how fast they get handed out.
If you want your order made fast, you better be willing to tip the employees making it. I prioritize drive thru and front counter. Sorry buddy, you won't make $100 this hour with me working.
Side rant:
I don't respect people that act like they've never worked in the industry, think they're different-you're not as funny or relatable as you think you are when I've dealt with 200 other people just like you, before you, on any given day. It's annoying.
