P1326 Error code & recall help
Back in December I received an Emissions recall notice from Hyundai stating the vehicle is emitting pollutants above legal limits under the Canada Environmental Act. I ignored it until a few months after, I received another letter regarding the recall and then my car read the error code “P1326”. For some reason l was under the impression that the recall and that specific error code was connected.
I brought my car into Hyundai to address the recall issue but now they’re charging me $500CAD for a diagnostic scan to look into the P1326 code.
So, I’m wondering, how likely is it that the code is connected to the recall and/or how likely is repairs to be covered by Hyundai?
The car is a 2017 Hyundai Sonata GLS 2.4L
TL;DR: Got an emissions recall notice, later got a P1326 code, brought the car to Hyundai, and now they’re charging ~$500 CAD for diagnostics. Could the P1326 be related to Hyundai’s known engine issues, and what are the chances Hyundai covers the repair?
