What is this part called and what is it for?
24 Ridgeline Trailsport. When looking underneath the steering wheel, I can see this metallic part that is covered in acoustic tape. It seems to be a cover or housing for wires or other electronics, but I’m not sure. It sounds like it’s made of aluminum and has a very distinctive sound when you tap it.
Trying to find out if this is truly the source of my rattle by looking into what it actually does. Any help is appreciated.
