I mean, c'mon. I know I suck.

I mean, c'mon. I know I suck.

I know I suck, I'm new to the game and I'm bronze 2 still. But why put me up against just gold and silver? If I lose normally I lose, I'm not going to bitch about that, but I don't want to play ranked if it's going to be a loss like this constantly. It feels like I'm just a punching bag for them, it just doesn't feel good to play like that. Even if the matchmaking isn't going to be skill based and you're going to put bronze and gold in the same lobby, you could at least balance the teams. They could have made it so it's 2 gold with each bronze. But no, a team of bronze of similar level against teams of gold of similar levels. How is this in any way fair? I'm not going to uninstall the game, I'm having fun most of the time, but seriously, even if you're not doing skill based matchmaking, couldn't you at least work on team balancing?

Edit: I made a very quick diagram in the comments of what I'm suggesting to make things more fair.

Feeling useless

About 6 years ago, I was typing at 78wpm on a qwerty staggered keyboard. Nothing crazy like I see some of the tests done here, but it was good enough and I was happy doing so, even if it wasn't proper touch typing. Anyway, I got attacked by a dog, and got nerve damage in my leg primarily, but I got bit heavily in my hands while trying to get the dog off me. I basically hadn't typed since then, and since my thumbs were mostly okay, I just started typing on my phone. I recently decided I wanted to type on a proper keyboard again, since I do a lot of work on a computer, it's more convenient if I can. My first realisation is that since I'm basically completely relearning how to type, and both a staggered keyboard and qwerty are horrendously uncomfortable for me now. I was typing at about 12wpm at my fastest. So, I decided to switch to colemak first to make it so I have less movements to make, I considered Dvorak, but I wanted all the shortcuts I use in the same place. I then switched to an ortho-corne keyboard. It's been so much better and more comfortable, but I am still getting used to it. I'm now typing at just under 30wpm. It feels like I've made a tonne of progress, and I'm proud of it, but curiousity got to me, and I did a typing test on my phone and I'm at 42wpm on it. I now feel kinda crap about how slow I am on a keyboard. My current goal is just to reach 60wpm but I don't know how I can improve. It doesn't feel like a motor function issue so much as a coordination issue, apart from occasional muscle cramps and spasms, but it just feels like I'm getting nowhere at this point.

Edit: I forgot to say, I am learning proper touch typing on my new keyboard too.
