ebike got stolen at Fairview Park Mall :(
Wife's folding ebike (Fiido X) got stolen at Fairview Park Mall today (may 24) between 3:50 pm and 4:47 pm. She'd locked it against the bike parking things (near the mall entrance next to the old Hudson's Bay) with a wordlock lock and we were planning to get a more sturdy lock. She's only had the bike a week and it's been stolen. We still have the box it came in. She's really upset and I guess the mall security doesn't really want to share the footage. Seems the thief or thieves cut the lock with bolt cutters. Bike has a built in battery lock but I'm guessing they'll figure it out. Another lady at the mall reported her bike being stolen as well. There was a third ebike at the same bike parking area that did not get stolen. Hoping someone here can help. She's took a photo of her bike after she locked it, and she also brought the lock home (she put it in a plastic bag to avoid touching it in case the police are interested in lifting any prints, I told her they probably won't but figured no harm in hoping) Bike was also registered just last week on Project 529 and we're hoping since it's a very uncommon make that someone will see it and report it to the cops. Can we do anything else besides reporting it stolen (already done btw)?
