charging port replacement question/options

question about the dreaded charging port issue:

I have a Legion Pro 7i (bought fall 2024) that stopped charging after a week-ish of only being able to charge (on 2 diff chargers) on an extreme angle, so I'm fairly certain the issue is the charging port

took it to a local repair shop, who took a week to tell me it's the motherboard. when I asked how they knew, they said they also tried charging through the lightening/usb-pd (and that was it/all they did, and which I'd told them when I brought it in I'd already done)

I called another shop and asked if they could do the replacement, and they said even if it was just the port that it was soldered in this model and it wasn't something they could do. so I called the closest micro center (which is still an hour away), and that location apparently also doesn't do soldering, and would just replace the entire motherboard

so I guess my question is: is there anywhere that CAN do soldering/replace just the port? it seems (from searching online) that people have had success with getting just the port replaced - am I just having bad luck that shops around me can't/wont' do it?

(also, I'm out of warranty, ended 12/2025 and I had a bunch of shit go wrong in my life at the same time so I didn't even think of extending it, and I'm outside the 120 days so lenovo won't extend now)

TIA!
