First parrot ever
Hi, i have a grey parrot around 3.5 months old. It’s rejecting the formula as soon as i put in the syringe he likes it at first but takes out all the food. I have tried giving him solids, but he won't eat enough to fill his crop. I dont understand what to do.
Right now, i came back from the emergency as the pipe fell down his throat but fortunately came out without hurting him.
Pls suggest to me what to do as im leaving town for 10 days due to important work but my family will be home what should i tell them to do?
Some say force feed. Some say dont. Also, what foods do they like. Google and everything is saying to give him pallets, but i have not seen anyone giving pellets or expensive foods and just giving their parrots normal fruits and vegetables, basically whatever they eat.
Pls guide me on what should i do and what foods to give him so that he fills his crop and is not hungry. I dont even know the signs of hunger except when the crop is empty.
I have kept sunflower seeds in his bowl, but he drops them, and idk if he eats or not. His crop is almost empty the whole day because i give him feed once in the morning and once at night before sleeping and his bowl is full of bananas and apples and sunflower seeds but i dont think he touches them or eat enough to be okay.
Pls any advice or tips will work.
