Should I go UPLB or DLSU?

Hi! Promise, last post ko na to for my school dilemmas hahah. I passed DPWAS in UP and they eventually gave me UPLB BS Applied Physics for my degprog. As for DLSU, I passed BS Mechanical Engineering specialization in Mechatronics.

I like both programs and schools, but I'm not sure which one would give me more of an edge for my career. I want to pursue Research & Design, especially innovating new technologies and working in Aerospace/Space companies.

My only concern for UPLB is so far away and I'm a bit scared of living outside of Metro Manila. I'm also aware that it'll take 2 years before I could apply to transfer to UPD. Another concern is the job opportunities for Applied Physics graduates, do I need to pursue a PhD to get a good salary?

As for DLSU, I don't have much concerns but I'm still a bit scared of Taft lol.

Would greatly appreciate any advice on this, TYIA!

Should I choose DLSU Mech Eng or AdMU Envi Sci?

Hi! I made another post about this but the situation's changed a lot so I'm doing a round two 😅 I'd love to get more people's opinions as well!

I passed my dream program in DLSU (BS ME-MTE) and it's my priority as of the moment. Engineering is DLSU's strength and I've heard good things about their Mechanical Engineering program. I'm also good with the campus and I don't mind spending college life in Manila.
My only concerns are how far it is from me (I'd have to condo) and the career implications of ME. My parents think that I might have a hard time with the program, and they're saying that the ME job market is too oversaturated and I'd probably have a hard time finding employment. My dad's speaking from experience as a BU ME grad, but I don't know what to think since my dream jobs are in research & development (especially Aerospace systems)

I passed a program in Ateneo that doesn't align at all to my STEM dreams (it's a SOH program) so I requested to change into Environmental Science (BS ES) instead. It's a program I don't mind since I'm very interested in sustainability and I'm personally an environmentalist. I checked the courses under the program and they all seem interesting as well. Though I'm very doubtful of Ateneo's ES program since I know STEM is their weakness, and I'm skeptical of the job opportunities it can give me. This is the program my parents would prefer though, since my sister lives in Katipunan and we can save up funds, and they say that the job market isn't that bad for Envi Sci.

TLDR; DLSU ME is my dream, but I'm concerned about the oversaturation of engineering and how difficult the program is. ADMU ES isn't my first choice but it's okay, it's just that I'm also concerned about the job market after I graduate. Would appreciate anyone's insight on this! TYIA!

Can’t decide between ADMU, DLSU, or UPLB (pls help)

Hi! I‘m having a hard time choosing between ADMU (Dream Campus), DLSU (Dream Course) and UPLB (Dream University) and I’d appreciate some insight on what others would do in my situation 🥲

ADMU is my dream environment: I really believe I’d fit in well with the people and culture there. I’m used to religious institutions and I like how most people describe the ADMU administration as helpful and supportive of their students. I also love Katipunan, most of my friends and family live there.

I passed a program I didn’t want but I requested for a change of degree program to Envi Sci since I think I’d like it better there and it’d fit my future career more.

DLSU, on the other hand, is offering my dream course Mechanical Engineering. I‘m not really fond of Taft, but I like the campus. I don’t have any other opinions on DLSU, but I’m aware that it’s a good uni for engineering so that makes me conflicted.

UPLB is still tentative. I passed DPWAS and I’m planning to choose a non-quota engineering program with slots so I can use the units to transfer to engineering (preferably MechEng) in UPD. I don’t want to stay in LB for more than a year (it’s very far), so my eventual plan is to go to UPD.

TLDR; I‘d feel most comfortable studying in ADMU, I’m not really sure about DLSU but they’re offering me my dream course, and UPLB isn’t set yet but if I go LB I plan on doing some transferring to get in UPD, given all the prestige people give UP. I’m very conflicted huhuhu
