UK Flex driver here — got an automated "extra driving" payment top-up from Amazon. Does this happen in the US too?
UK Flex driver, just got this in my inbox referencing a block from a few days ago:
"You're receiving a one-time payment adjustment for completing deliveries in your block on May 27, 2026 that involved significantly more driving than a typical route. You will see the payment adjustment of £5 in the Earnings section of the Amazon Flex app within 48 hours."
So it's an automatic top-up — Amazon's system flagged that the route went significantly over the expected mileage and sent extra pay without me having to file anything. £5 in my case, the route ran about 25 miles longer than a typical block at that station.
What I'm trying to figure out from the US side:
Do you guys see these automatic "extra driving" adjustments on Flex US? (Whole Foods/Fresh/Logistics, doesn't matter which)
Roughly how much per overrun? Is it flat, per-mile, or related to something else?
Any pattern on what kinds of routes trigger it? (e.g. specific stations that overbook geographically)
Trying to build a real picture across regions because this doesn't seem to be documented driver-facing anywhere.
