Return packages? 🤔

Today I had a 3 AM route and two of my packages were supposed to be delivered to the apartment leasing office. Obviously the office was closed at that hour, and I ended up marking them as missing packages and moved on.

It’s the first time this happens to me. Maybe some people will see it as dishonest, maybe not, but I’ve heard returning packages can become a bigger headache and create more issues than just finishing the route.

What would you guys do in this situation? Should I call support and explain it was a mistake? Return the packages later? Keep them? I honestly don’t want problems or app issues over two packages.

$37 Amazon Fresh block vs 75.05 work miles – this is how you go broke delivering”

All these 2‑hour blocks are $37 with $0 tips, and for the May 19 one I drove 75.05 miles for that same $37. Using the 2026 IRS mileage rate (about 72.5¢/mile), those miles alone are worth roughly $54.41 in vehicle costs, which means I actually lost money on that block before even counting my time. Amazon Flex is looking a lot less like side income and a lot more like paying out of pocket to deliver groceries.

Region Change

Hello everybody,

Just have a quick question regarding Region changing. So, I’m going out of town for the weekend and I was curious about changing my region just so I could keep delivering. I just wanted to know how long does it take for the region to be changed officially and when can I try and grab blocks… Also, how long does it take to change it back for when I get back home?

Go Ahead and Take Base Pay If You Need It

Don't let anyone shame you for doing what you need to do to take care of your family. If you need quick money to pay a bill or to buy groceries for the week or to buy diapers for your child, then don't feel bad for taking base pay. We all go through financial difficulties in life and if you have an opportunity to make money to handle your business, then take it.

Of course it would be nice to get paid more per route but if you have a bill coming up and you're short on cash, take base if you need to. Don't let others dictate what you should and shouldn't do.

Personally, I don't take base myself and I don't have a problem waiting for higher paying offers.. but i also don't make a big deal if people do take it. I empathize for those who need to do what they need to do to take care of their family. Go ahead a downvote me!

Deferred Maintenance

If you park for 10 mins at .com waiting and leave this behind I hope you’re carrying a quart of oil on you at all times bc you may not be making it through your route. I understand the economy but damn, that leak ain’t gonna get any better.

Do drivers in America have to do breathalyzer checks with every block?

I'm doing Amazon Now deliveries in Tokyo, and we have to do a breathalyzer check each time we check in for a block. It's vaguely annoying because our blocks are only 45 minutes long and we have to do it each and every time, but whatever. I was just curious if the breathalyzer checks are a Japan-only thing, or if it's a worldwide Amazon policy. I'm always interested to see how international businesses get adapted to work in Japan.

1st time doing whole foods in like 3 years idk how yall do it. This is terrible.

2hr for $60 during rush hr. Idk why #6 is even on this route. SSD 2hrs take me 1hr max to finish this looks like it'll take 1hr45mins.

I keep getting assigned a route 3 minutes before they have to dismiss me, why does this keep happening?

I'm seeing other drivers get dismissed but this is now 7 times in a row in the past 2 weeks that I would be dismissed if only they didn't assign a route for 3 more minutes. I either get a route instantly when I scan my license or I get assigned a route 3 minutes before I'm scheduled to be dismissed.

Customer was inappropriate behaved.

Should I have reported the customer and called the cops. Was doing a delivery and saw the ittanary have a message from customer saying some suggestive stuff about tipping in oral and femboy stuff. At the time I did not see it since it was my 5th stop and I was carrying way too many stuff. So I get to the apartment and he opens the door. dude freaking comes out almost half naked. I don't even look at just try to get picture of the delivery done, but he had taken some of the stuff inside. He then asks if I want to come inside and making suggestive movements. I did not know what to do and just said no and left. And on top of that they have a ring camera.

I can’t stand inconsiderate customers

I cant stand Amazon and their customers. My shift this morning was 3:15 am - 7:45 am I picked up at DJT6 only 39 packages which was fine until I got to the first location. They had me get off at Redlands BLVD aka the badlands and had me deliver a few packages there which is the most scariest place to deliver. The first order as I approached the property a big ass dog came to my car didn’t bark but I’m afraid of dogs so I was freaking out. It’s pitch black dirt road and I’m afraid of my life because of the dog and because I’m in the middle of nowhere and I hope the customer isn’t a lunatic and shoots me for being on property. Anyways I was at my first stop for 35 minutes trying to figure out how I’m going to deliver the package and I couldn’t call or text because there was no service which made it worse😭🥹 I’ve been doing this for a year and have never delivered to this area and I think this is my breaking point. I’m done driving for Amazon and I am just sticking to my 9-5 job 😂

Anyone know how the employee side works when removing a package?

If an employee takes a package off your route when you're picking up, what does their screen look like when they scan the package? I assume they have the option to select different reasons for removal, and some of those reasons count against the driver like if they mark it as a refusal instead of a damaged package. Can anyone actually confirm how this works on their end?

I'm so sick of scumbag employees marking every damaged package as a refusal instead of a damaged package. At least that's what I assume they're doing.
