Returned 41 packages - how cooked am I
I had a 3-hour route yesterday & all 41 packages were going to a University mail room. I showed up, and they refused the packages because they can't take mail after 2 PM & they told me to take it all back. I called support and explained the situation, and they told me to return all the packages to the warehouse. Support said they'd open a ticket and would make sure it wouldn't affect my standings, but I'm still unsure & have no trust in support whatsoever. Am I most likely going to be deactivated?
Delivering to business that searches car
So this rent a cop tell me we have a process and I’ll let you deliver. He tells me open all 4 doors so he can look through my car I told him yeah that not happening. He told me okay return the packages I just grabbed the packages through in his guard stations left. I’ll probably get dinged for it but i feel like that a line I’m not will let business start crossing
Why ship packages to your business?
Why do people order packages to their business? Makes no sense to me. I understand if it may be an item needed for your business or office but you could um.... idk... ship it to your house? Or your employees house? Or um an amazon locker?
Most businesses open Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm yet these idiots still order packages to their business, why? You all do realize that deliveries happen overnight and on weekends too right?
The packages aren't even big either so there's no reason why they can't be sent to a locker or your own home. Don't complain when your package is left outside and gets stolen.
Amazon is going too far with this shit.....
Was assigned a ball-breaker route on Sat night/Sun morn (4am-8am). First stop, of course, was about 52 mins away in a far outlying suburb (Pretty Country) and a Weekend retreat/Lake town. Between the crazy distance (at last stop 122.1 miles total) Insane road closures due to a ton of work in that area that have almost no signage so was left to figure out a lot on my own cause the app just wants you to make U-turn all night long The stops were spaced out way too far for this to have been a 3 hour route. Had 41 stops with 49 total packages. For the first time since my very first FLex route, Halloween Night 2022 which was a dumbass move for my first night, I went over. I scanned the last 4 packages which were all grocery from the SSD I picked up at it was 8:06. I contacted support later that day to ask for $$ and let them know that is in no way, shape or form a 4 hour route. They agreed. These motherfuckers send me $11.25 later that day. WTF. Then today I got 4 fuckin dings for that last stop. Why 4? There could have been 15 items in those grocery bags. Or just the laughable frozen water bottle. Im going at the support emails hard tonight after my block. This shit is getting out of control.
PSA: Amazon Flex apparently has a 15 block forfeit limit
I had to forfeit two blocks this morning. I wanted to reschedule for later today, but I wasn’t seeing any offers at all. I called support as another member of my household also does flex and they were receiving blocks. turns out Amazon will freeze your account from seeing offers for a WEEK if you forfeit 15 blocks within a short period of time (support agent did not specify on period of time). Very frustrating, as my account is in fantastic standing, and now my primary source of income over the summer is unavailable.
lesson learned, will be more careful about which blocks I accept from now on
Edit: since a lot of people are replying (and downvoting), I want to clarify that I do not use a bot or screentapper. The reason I forfeited so many blocks is because I would accept basically all reserved offers for days in advance, and then with the way my out-of-Amazon schedule works I wouldn’t know if I was able to do the blocks until day of. I always forfeited blocks at least 45 minutes before the start time and often hours. my main gripe is that they didn’t give me any warning that they would restrict my primary source of income for a week. In the future I will be more careful.
When do you feel like you're almost done on a 50 stopper?
How are y’all making money with these rates?
Not a single offer for the past week is above this garbage pay, for those who take these, how are you finding this profitable?
Help! Received Termination email
Hello Ya’ll i just received this email and i need hell in restoring my account. I did have some missed blocks and most late deliveries. I know i was pushing it but i am a single mom and this gig would help me be there for my son as a mom with flexibily. And a lot of the times i missed or didnt cancel shifts on time were due to family circumstances. This would even allow me to bring him with me to short shifts when i didnt hace care which is mostly weekends.
Anyways this email i received after i made a call about this insane route that i was given to the city and it was a 3.5hr block that ended up being 4.5hr. I called them and they sent me the extra pay(in which i have never done ever in my 3 years of driving amazon) but i also told customer support to also drop my old late deliveries and missed blocks dating back to may and june. I guess they looked into it and next thing i know i get this email 😔
Just looking for useful info as how to restore my account as for this is more than just a job but also therapeutic as well as being there for my son as not many jobs are flex.
No shame pls. I already feel down.
Thanks in advance.
The weirdest route Amazon has ever given me🤣
I had never gotten a route with stops this spread out before, but I can’t complain. It was a 3.5 hour block for $102 and I finished it in 1.5 hour with 44 miles. I left stop 4 for last so I could end up close to home.
Lost my Van to a Early Saturday Morning Shift
Sorry Amazon, you dont pay enough where I live to deliver at night
My local (rural) warehouse has been offering only evening deliveries (5pm-8:30pm). Some routes I can get done by 7:30, other routes take up to 8:15. I'm driving a shit-ton of miles. Pay is close to $1.25 per mile for some routes.
It seems like every 3rd house has a "No Trespassing!" sign or a "Beward of Dog!" sign. I'm driving into compounds in the woods or in farmland. I'm driving an unmarked car into homes with deep driveways. People often wonder wtf I'm doing there.
I hear drivers in the city not wanting to put "Delivery Driver" signs on their car for fear of people following them and robbing them, but im actually the opposite. I need signs on my car when I enter compounds so I dont get fucking shot. Thoughts? People seem to get sketched out and watching me through the windows when I pull up in my unmarked car, especially down 1/4 mile driveways.
I am able to finish my routes before dark right now, but that wont be the case in a few weeks. At that time, im going to go back to doing other gig work. Does anyone else feel the same? I've done these routes at night in the woods, scanning houses with a flashlight, pulling into wrong half-mile driveways and it seems like an excellent way to get shot.
PSA, IF YOU DO NOT DELIVER DURING A TORNADO IT VIOLATES TOS
As the title says, it's a bannable offense. Local law enforcement saying to shelter in place and being unable to see the road doesn't matter even with video evidence.
Nice ride
How many mpg do you think this baby gets? How is this profitable at 18$ an hour? I know last month I personally put at least 3000 miles on my car lmao.
Amazon flex Drive took the picture of my air fryer and took it back .
I’ve heard and seen this sticky fingers drivers but never thought that it would happen to me, I ordered a cordless vacuum, air fryer and other stuff for my son College room and part of my order was delivered today , I was on my way out with my daughter to come to the pool and saw the driver she parked on my driveway, first of all it was a Male driver picture but the person who delivered was a female.
She took the picture of the packages but took back the air fryer and open the door and asked her why she was taking it back and she said oh this is not your package and I showed her the picture of the ninja double air fryer and it says it was delivered at 2:47 and it’s 2:49 and she said oh sorry i thought it was another customer package , then i told her that’s impossible because she has to scan every package before she delivered it and i know that because I’m also an Amazon Flex Driver and I’ve had seen her at the VNY5 warehouse, she didn’t say anything and just left.
I call amazon customer service and reported the account and I’m just waiting for my husband to get home to download the video to send it to Amazon and I will post her here too.
Finally!
You don't need to share your personal information with customers
Speeding ticket, any affect on this or other non human delivery gigs.
Got my first speeding ticket in 8 years off the clock. Debating hiring an attorney to fight it cuz of insurance and gig work.
Handed to customer, still requires photo
Can’t take a photo of a person, but it wants to be photo even though I handed it off to the customer? I’m confused
Why do people do this?
You live in a gated community/apartment complex, you don’t supply a gate code, you say “dial this number to be buzzed in” and guess what…. The number isn’t in the directory system….
Like fr? So you just don’t exist i guess.
And then you complain that you didn’t get your package that you ordered for 4 TO 8 AM DELIVERY?! And you don’t answer your text or nothing so just… why is that my issue?
