Broken bond/sexual immortality
Hello! I'm sure this topic has been brushed on here but I never quite see scriptures explaining reasoning. Here is my scenario: My husband, a non-believer, has committed sexual immorality numerous times. Matthew 19:9 says the exception for a divorce is said sexual immorality. He has no inkling of reconciliation and doesn't even recognize as what he did wrong.
I was told that by dating/marrying me during/after the in process of separation/divorce it would be a man committing adultery since I would be a divorced woman and/or the wife of a man; and I in turn be an adultress. Wouldn't the exception of my husband committing sexual immorality not nullify the one-flesh and covenant bonds? Would I then be a free woman with no ties to adultery? Any help with passages would be great. I was shown Matthew 19:9 against me as well as Hermas The Shepherd 4:1-10 and Jerome Letters 55 & 58. Thank you for your time.
