I’m an avoidant person but when I was younger I displayed an insecure resistant attachment style. My avoidant attachment style only formed due to watching my parents and my avoidance only shows when someone likes me and wants to date me. Whereas when I meet another avoidant I become more resistant which is confusing to me because my whole idea of relationships depends on the other persons view of me! This makes me feel like attachment types might not just be formed from infant relationships but also later relationships. This leads me to believe that attachment styles are actually more fluid and may not be set in stone !
