Trying to Rescue a Stray Cat Need Advice
A stray cat showed up near my home not long ago. She was extremely skinny, basically just bones, and looked like she had been through a lot. I’m not completely sure about the cat’s gender, but she looks like a girl, so I’ll be referring to her as “she.”
Right now, I’m trying to gain her trust so we can take her to a vet and maybe even adopt her. The closest I’ve gotten to her was when I managed to pet her while she was eating, but aside from that, she still won’t let me get very close.
She also seems to be in very bad shape, although we’ve been feeding her regularly, so she looks at least a little better than she did a few weeks ago.
My main questions are: how can I gain this cat’s trust, and how can I help my own cat accept her if we eventually bring her home?
Any help or tips would mean a lot to me, so please help me and this cat if you can.
