Sg library booking system sucks
I really don’t know what they were thinking when implementing this booking system, I can’t even find one seat at the library which is unbooked . Seats are empty but when you go there and scan it says booked ?! Just now I went to woodlands library and I just sat at an empty space and was about to scan the QR, it was available for booking at 4pm . Mind you I sat down at 3:53pm . This uncle then comes up to me and tell me “ oh I booked this seat at 2pm just now and Intend to extend it “. He literally put his bag on the Qr code so that I don’t scan it 😩 I just shut my mouth and gave him the seat then I saw this man put his stuff on the table and walk out . I was walking out too bc I gave up atp , this man puts his stuff on the table and put his phone for charging there and walks away . He went out while I was walking out too and when I was walking to the NTUC this uncle also went there ! This man took a trolley . So he literally put his stuff there to charge and went grocery shopping ??? I’ve seen so many people do this ; the table is empty but it’s booked , or they just leave their phone/tablet there to charge and they are not there or either sleeping. I think the booking system is dumb and it should be a first come first serve basis bc a lot of people are misusing the system. Also the uncle and aunties will go to the library and use their phone to watch video so loudly and the librarians just ignore. It’s so sad that the library is no longer a quiet studying zone , i honestly don’t know where else to go to do my assignments and focus 🥲
