Just planted in April. I actually planted 4 bushes and this is the only one having this issue. Others aren't browning. I'm particularly worried about how the stem seems to be browning and creeping closer to the base of the plant 😓. Not sure if I need to prune or if this is a lost cause. Soil ph was 5.3 at planting. We are in a draught I will say. I put down a dose of the holly tone at planting but that's it. Any help is appreciated!

Zone 8b here. Planted a new Owari satsuma tree and doing pretty good so far. Planted in April. However I'm noticing small growth near the bottom of it. I'm thinking this isn't the trifoliate suckering out because it's too high up but just wanted to double check.
