Hi everyone,
I have a brand new Cooler Master GM25FP, and I think it might be stuck in Factory/Test Mode.
As soon as I turn it on, it continuously cycles through red, green, blue, white, and black screens. It never shows the Cooler Master logo, the OSD never appears, and the 5-way joystick doesn't respond at all.
I'm sure this is not a cable or connection issue. I've tested HDMI, DisplayPort, different cables, and even powered the monitor on with no video cable connected. The behavior is exactly the same.
Does anyone know the key combination or hidden service menu to exit Factory/Test Mode? Has anyone managed to recover a Cooler Master monitor from this state?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
recently, i noticed one black line at the bottom of my monitor. then it became two, and now it's a whole army of them. i tried different cables and different GPU ports, but nothing changed they're still there. since i'm not a monitor nerd, i need your help. is this a physical issue with the monitor, or is it a software problem that i don't understand? and how do i fix it if it's an software issue?
please i'm not very knowledgeable about monitors, i don't want to break the rule no.4 but i just don't know if its a physical issue or a software issue
Heya! I'm looking for a good monitor for my 5060 ryzen 5 8400f rig. 1080p since i dont want to make my poor 5060 make 1440p, she can't.
I'm considering Xiaomi Redmi g24i, but i'd really aperriciate any suggestions in this price range. My primary use case is gaming, mostly single player AAA, not competitive stuff.
My budget is 400 PLN, which is like 109 USD. Yeah, cheaping on the monitor this time.
I'm planning to buy the KOORUI 34E6UC (34", 3440×1440, 165Hz, VA, curved) and wanted to hear from people who actually own or have used it.
For some context:
I'm coming from a 22" 1080p 75Hz IPS monitor, but before that I used VA monitors for years. I honestly never paid attention to ghosting until I started researching monitors. Even now, I only notice it if I deliberately stare at ghosting tests.
My main questions are:
The reason I'm considering this model is that in my country (Bangladesh), it's around ৳42,500, and at this price it's basically the only 34" curved ultrawide available. The other option I'm looking at is a 27" 1440p 200Hz IPS, but I feel like I'd enjoy the immersion of an ultrawide more than the extra refresh rate.
I was wondering if there were any recommendations that were better than the ASUS VG249. For reference, I play simpler games like Roblox, Fortnite, skate., and skate 3. I’m not very educated on monitors but i’m looking for one of similar price, or under 200 and one that is better than the VG249, or atleast won’t fail within 2 years of regular use.
I'm looking for a monitor. I want a 32 inch monitor. I do predominantly business work however I also play a few games not often though and the game I currently is The Binding of Isaac and sometimes League and Among Us.
Again I mostly do work for my business on my PC I have a 4070 and an i5 12400f. I'm not really in need of OLED but if there are good long-term options let me know.
Earlier i used to play on tv, but now i am looking for the best monitor under ₹15,000 for PS5 gaming and office work (coding, browsing, documents).
No strict size preference—24” or larger is fine. Looking for good colors, sharp text, low input lag, and overall value for money.
Any recommendations or monitors to avoid?
When i put my pc into sleep mode when i left for a few hours I came home to see my pc only using one monitor, for some reason my main monitor using a display port cable which is connected on both ends isn't working, I tested all of the ports in my graphics card and since I only have one for HDMI for my second monitor I can't change it. I checked using the HDMI that the monitor still works as intended just that it's showing up as not active in my settings using display port, please if anyone has a fix for this I would be very appreciative.
Hi, I have a Xiaomi G Pro 27i which I have been using since December 2024. Recently, my monitor have been showing these static lines in display. First it was only in the HDMI port, now my Display Port is also affected. Can anyone tell me what seems to be the problem here and if I have to replace something what would it be? Thanks
Basically what the title says!
Is there a way to make it look normal, and not squished while keeping it on the correct resolution?
Oh and, I've only got this one monitor!
p.s. ... Yes, I've checked that it's on the correct resolution - as you should have been able to guess from the title of this post!
Hopefully the above screenshots can show what I mean!
Hi,
I have a Lenovo Legion 5i Gen 10. Everything just worked perfectly for 6 months and a few days ago, the monitor just suddenly stopped connecting to the monitor.
The monitor said it can’t detect signal from hdmi cable, I didn’t hear any sound from laptop showing it was connected either.
I tried pretty much every solution I could find:
- turn off laptop, hold power button for 30s
- delete display driver
- force detect external monitor
- hardware quick reset ctrl shift win x
Please help, I’m completely stuck now.
Hello. I am very new to all this hz and visual specs talk.
I am looking at getting monitors for an Xbox series x and series s. I’m trying to keep it under 300 dollars. I have found on on Amazon and would love if anyone could let me know if it’s a good fit for the Xbox. Thank you in advance! This is this one https://a.co/d/0dMDU2D0 I’m looking at getting.
I recently bought this monitor and I tried testing out HDR on my macbook. It was doing well but when I shut down my laptop or put it to sleep sometimes it would turn on with greyed colours for the entire screen. I don't have a picture but it was like this video at the start. Its fine if I turn off the monitor and turning it back on again. But it's starting to get quite annoying. I can't update the firmware as I haven't built my gaming pc right as I can't download gaming intelligence on Mac. Anyone encounter this issue before?
hiya! i woke up this morning and turned on my monitor to find thin horizontal multicolored lines spanning across the whole thing, i’ve tried everything i could but since it goes over the menu im assuming its an internal issue? i was on it last night and it was completely fine and i also treat the monitor like a baby (no bumping, etc). panel protect, changing refresh rate/hz, unplugging everything and waiting, etc have all not worked so far. im just seeing if anyone has had the same issue and knows how to fix it or something internally just randomly happened. any advice to do anything or know what’s happening would be great.
my monitor: msi mag 272qpw qd-oled x28
(also if i posted this in the wrong subreddit i apologize)
Hi! I know absolutely nothing about pcs, I bought mine off of my sister, bought my monitor new, this issue started only two months after purchase.
These lines appeared going horizontally across my screen randomly. I don’t move or touch the monitor, so i couldn’t have damaged it by hand. It looks like the monitor still works where the lines are, I can see my mouse inside the lines if I position it correctly. The monitor also has less noticeable lines through the whole thing, like an old tv.
How could i fix this? Do i need a new chord or a new monitor? Or is it just a setting thats screwed up?
Hey guys. I need help on what to do. My monitor got cracked or something in the corner. Whats the best thing i should do? Do i replace the whole monitor. Do i go to a shop and try to repair it? Im not a very computer type of person. My older brother and Dad set everything up for me and bought everything, but none of them are here to help me as of the moment.
I am in need of serious assistance, My PC is everything for me, i always try to take care of it. Any type of help is appreciated
I'm stuck between 3 companies to buy a monitor arm for #1 - North Bayou , #2 - JinOffice , #3 - MountUp. These are in India and i just wanted to see if anyone could help me with the credibility of these they are all compatible with my monitor but i want to know what is the best value. My research - North Bayou has overall the best reviews , in number two its JinOffice and number 3 its MountUp they don't have any seriously bad reviews but I'm still stuck money isn't an issue. The top 3 links are related to this post
Basically 27" 2k within a 48" 4k TV/screen in this particular config.
So I have a LG oled48c3pua 48" and I was wondering if this is possible?
I don't have a very big room and I got a very good deal on this OLED so I had to buy it.
I faintly remember changing to a lower resolution and changing some scaling settings in nvidia can get that smaller display in the center of the screen(have not tried it on this yet)
But I am specifically looking to achieve this configuration of the screen so that I can comfortably sit closer.
TIA!
Hi everyone,
I’m looking to buy a 34-inch ultrawide monitor, but I’m having a hard time deciding between VA and IPS panels.
Right now, I’m using an old 24-inch Full HD IPS monitor from around 2013, so almost anything would probably feel like an upgrade. However, I’m not sure how noticeable the switch from IPS to VA would be, especially because I’m used to IPS.
The price difference is quite big where I live. VA models are usually around 30% cheaper than similar IPS models, so VA is much more tempting from a value perspective.
However, I keep reading about black smearing on VA monitors, especially in darker scenes. Is it really that bad in normal use, or is it mostly exaggerated? I would mainly use the monitor for gaming, general desktop use, browsing, and reading text.
I’m also wondering how VA handles black text on a white background. Is there noticeable smearing or blur when scrolling pages with text, or is it only a problem in dark games?
I know VA has better contrast and deeper blacks, while IPS usually has better response times and viewing angles. But considering the 30% price difference, I’m trying to understand whether IPS is actually worth paying extra for, or if a decent VA panel is good enough.
For people who have used 34-inch VA ultrawide monitors: did black smearing bother you in games or everyday use? Would you buy VA again, or would you spend more for IPS?
Thanks for any advice.
