How bad is this?

Bought a Lenovo R27-QC30 from the lenovo website. New to monitors, are these black levels alright? What else to check or test for? It's a VA panel, so is there anything extra that I should take care of? Thanks...

Indian Jugaadu meets IEM problems

Context: Had a Tangzu Wa'aner SG x Headphone Zone IEMs since Sept. 2024, cable broke in May 2026, bought an Audiocular CO3 as a potential upgrade last week.

The CO3 has a flush 2 pin connector whereas the Tangzu have a QDC style 2 pin connector. I thought, "they'll not fully connect, but I'll hear everything and what could go possibly go wrong?" and I bought them. They definitely were an upgrade especially in terms of build quality and sound also somewhat...

But, the very next hour when I tried to remove them from my ears (by pulling out from the C-stem of the cable), the left monitor's QDC housing snapped, the pins came out. Freaked out a little, realised the grave mistake I made....

Anyways, i first placed the pins exactly as they were before, in the remnants of the housing, separated the cables, poured in hot glue, enough to stick up until the monitors plastic case on the side walls, but not touching the driver, then used some fevi quick to close off the back case and then used some M Seal where the previous housing lived.

The fix came out quite well, I can easily put in and pull out, the pins, just like before. Sounds just as fine as before. But I'm taking caution while removing them like I first remove the monitor from the ear and then gently pull out the C-stem of the cable. It sure is a temporary fix, I'll maybe later upgrade to a proper 2 pin connector style IEMs...

Moral: Never buy 2 pin connectors for QDC style IEMs.

Is my laptop going to die?

I've started to notice this since a few days back. About 6/10 times the screen just doesn't turn on, although the IR blasters turn on, but the lock screen just won't show up. Previously, I used to plug this in the laptop and then tried back again to turn it on and somehow that worked. But even that doesn't work now!

After seeing so many posts about the flex ribbon going bad, I'm worried is this one (GA403UI) also on the verge of dying?!

Please Help!!
