If I remove the header row from the front and side of the house, how do I stop the blocks from moving into the trench over time? Happy to replace all of the blocks for a front garden over time but that might not be possible for a year or two.

I need to lower the ground to expose the sub floor ventilation that's below the monoblock. The top of the vent is level with the top of the blocks. The vent appears original cast iron but it's hard to see it all.

The vent you can see on the corner is the only open one on the house. The internal floor is level with the top of it.
