Kudos to the guy who gave my son his first class seat
My son is a huge aviation nerd, so flying SFO–BOS was basically a dream come true for him. He was telling me all about the different planes at the airport, and how we were flying on a 737 MAX 9 (or whatever it was 😂). He was especially excited to tell me that the plane had United Next and that United had the best livery of any U.S. airline.
While he was excitedly talking about the plane and the seats, a guy nearby asked if we were flying first class. We were pretty low on the CPU list, haha, but he then asked my son if he wanted to experience United First because he had overheard him talking so enthusiastically about the planes and seats.
I ended up chatting with the guy who gave up his seat, and he was an awesome person. Turns out he actually works at the company I left a few years ago, so we got to talking about what’s been happening there.
My son absolutely loved the seat, food, and service. So, thank you to that guy for making his day—and for reminding us that a little kindness and decency can go a long way. ❤️✈️
