Comet wrestling Piper in her bed. I think she likes it.

People often call Piper and Comet twins but besides the physical differences (Comet is almost 30% bigger with a bushy tail compared to Pipers cinnamon bun) Piper prances along on the leash looking at everything/everyone while Comet is all business with his head down sniffing out the next spot to pee. Piper is a fussy eater while Comet is food motivated and can be easily bribed with treats. Piper likes her morning and evening cuddles while Comet will jump on the bed in the morning for scritches but most of the time wants to play fetch with a ball. They're both heaps of fun.

The council workers have let the grass grow so long in the dog park Piper and Comet bounce around like a couple of rabbits. Unfortunately I only managed a photo of Comet stalking Piper.

Plenty of dogs at the park . After playing the Gingernuts take the high ground next to Tyson and Micah. Tyson acts like big brother when Piper and Comet play fight. He gets in between them and tries to keep them separated.

I've been a good girl so how about some treats?

I've never had dogs as curious as Piper and Comet. There's one person about 30 feet away doing exercises and they stop playing while jumping on the rock seat to get a better view.

Judgement times two from the Gingernuts .

Piper usually starts the play at the dog park by stealing the ball Comet is playing with and after racing around they will finally stop in a head to head face off. Piper comes front on then goes for the hind leg while Comet tries to spin around. Comet ends up falling down while Piper acts like she's savaging his neck with associated noises. I think some dog owners are scared 😱 away because they think it's serious 🤔.

After an extra long walk along the wharves where Piper almost fell in the Harbour we got home safely where they zone out for the afternoon.

Magnificently beautiful dogs are our Shibas. I'm so biased.

The Gingernuts race around until they're thirsty then head for a drink. Piper has her leash on because when she knows we're going to leave she will keep about 3 feet away and I get tired of following her until she behaves. I can get the leash before she can take off. This dog park is off leash but isn't enclosed and Piper has tried to head home a couple of times when she was younger - scary but if i sit down she will come back to me.

Sunny 🌞 winter's day in Sydney at the Gingernuts favourite park with views of the Harbour Bridge and CBD.

Seems like yesterday we bought Comet home and surprised Piper but it's almost 2 years. Piper is smaller at 11.5 kg(25.3 lbs) to 14.8 kg (32.5 lbs) but is still the boss.

Piper enjoys a Sunday morning sleep in.

After a two hour morning walk they still have energy to burn. Piper settled on the couch after being told enough. Comet is lying down in the hallway. They're pretty good for 2 and a half and eighteen months.

Enjoying a coffee ☕️ halfway through the morning walk. Comet sploots and is very chill while Piper remains on high alert. A child runs past bouncing a basketball and Comet is immediately interested but not enough to jump up.

Both Piper and Comet can do a good imitation of sheep grazing during their time at the dog park. We feed them a healthy nutritious diet plus treats so their diet isn't lacking the required vitamins and minerals. I think it's so they can pretend not to hear me when I call them.
