Yes, he's named after Gir from invader Zim... He's 10 weeks old and I literally just got him today. He doesn't like my mom or her boyfriend and only feels comfortable around me. I think he's already picked his favorite human lol.
It has to be some kind of edge
My boy Donte was supposed to be a show dog but grew too big for breed standard (fortunate for us, since we wouldn't have gotten him otherwise). He got to live out his male puppy model dreams last year when he was selected to do a photo shoot for Zara Japan.
Name: Gracie
Class: Trickery Domain Cleric
Species: Shiba-Inu
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
This brave little hero is ready to cause mischief and maybe even save the world. She’s no stranger to scavenging and thievery, but it’s all in good fun, of course. Her healing smile keeps her companions in good spirits, and she always has a shield and sword at the ready to help.
Sad to say that both of our dogs cannot handle going to dog parks. We meet them where they’re at instead of trying to force them to socialize at their ages (they’re senior dogs).
What’s nutty is that both of them started out as very friendly, social dogs. Once we got our second, they only want to be around each other.
Generally, they will fight with other dogs, but our boy can handle submissive males/females. Girl is a no-go for anyone.
Hi pals!
I know this is such a Shiba behaviour, not being interested in going out for a walk… but I never could guess it can be to this point.
My little girl puppy is 17 weeks old and she knows how to do her number 1 business in the designated area of the balcony. She never likes to do her poo poo in the balcony, that is why she mainly goes out for a walk and for her number 2 business.
We have her since she was 8 weeks old and ever since she was never interested in going out. We thought maybe we can replace her collar (which she absolutely hates it and we also don’t think it’s safe for Shiba Inus) with a vest. Lately we are trying a harness as well. As she grew older she resisted going out more and more day by day and now we have reached to the point that she’s running away from us the moment she senses we are going to take her out.
We tried feeding her with her favourite treat by the entrance area, she doesn’t even want to eat it. We tried marking the phrase “let’s go out” with another special treat only for going out purpose, yet she still runs away. We also tried placing her favourite bed by the entrance to give her the command of “place” with her close to the entrance, but she doesn’t get any close to that area.
Long story short, when we finally do our ritual and somehow manage to put the vest/harness and the leash on her, she immediately runs to the door because she desperately needs to go for poo poo.
It’s getting frustrating since she is growing up and becoming stronger, we cannot handle her alone and it is becoming a two persons job to take her out for a walk.
I don’t really get why she resists going out badly while she desperately needs to poo poo :(
Any tips for us?
