She celebrated by getting out of our fence for the first time… we found her casually strolling beside another dog and their owner. Scariest 10 mins of my life.

Has anyone else experienced neurological symptoms in their Shiba that seemed to be connected to Simparica Trio? Our 7-month-old Shiba was having episodes about once a month that really worried us. She would suddenly seem dizzy or stare off into space, her head would tremor, and her back legs would sway a bit. The episodes would last for a while, then she’d go to sleep and wake up acting completely normal. After tracking the timing, I realized the episodes only seemed to happen a few days to a week after her monthly Simparica Trio dose. She would then be completely fine for the rest of the month until the next dose. Our vet didn’t think there was necessarily a connection, but I decided to stop giving it because I couldn’t identify any other pattern. Since stopping, she hasn’t had any more episodes. I’m not trying to say Simparica Trio was definitely the cause, but I’m curious if anyone else has seen similar symptoms or had a similar experience with their Shiba. If so, what did your vet say, and did you switch to a different flea/tick preventative?
