What is this object? is it culture appropriation to wear it?
I found this medallion (?) in an abandoned unused drawer in my house and found it very pretty.
Google told me it's some good-luck thing but I wanted to be more sure, especially cause no one in my family has ever been to China as far as I know. Furthermore, I really like making jewels out of random stuff and I was wondering if it would be culture appropriation if I made one with this and wore it out as a fully caucasian person with no connection to China whatsoever.
(I'll be honest I just looked up this page for this question so I apologize if my post is incorrect for this space or any other problem whatsoever, please let me know)
