2026 GL9

Has anyone heard anything this week at all? I know there’s no movement but anyone hear anything from ASACs or their local office HR? Even if it’s for a new announcement we could apply under.

I understand the federal government works slow…but dang. DEA and ATF have been communicating seamlessly.

HSI-12862549

So what’s the word with this announcement. They scrapped the majority of the late 2025 announcements and this year’s announcement looks like a cluster.

I spoke with the ASAC from my field office in July and he stated he sent my packet up, spoke with HR that same day to finalize some paper work and they stated my packet was stamped and sent to DC. Yesterday I received an email stating I was eligible but not referred.

Spoke with the ASAC on Friday and he said he’d check with admin and inform me what happened.

I’m confused because I got emails the same day for last year’s announcements stating I was not eligible, yet this announcement I am eligible.

Slightly frustrated, but lucky to still be in a job I love.

Looking for a Community

Looking for a semi serious/serious RP Community. I’d like something with a great population, balanced economy, and great systems for crim RP with drugs, guns, gangs, different heists, etc.

“Right Hand” Incident

As a fellow LEO, has the anti-law enforcement movement become so strong that, in the Florida incident where an officer pulled over a woman for allegedly using her phone with her right hand, people completely miss the possibility that she may have actually been using her phone and that his only mistake was believing it was her right hand?

I’m not saying he was right or wrong, but as cops we know there’s almost always more than one possibility. I haven’t even seen anyone bring up this argument. Instead, everyone immediately jumps to saying the cop should be fired, sued, or disciplined.

Even in the video, the woman’s entire argument was, “Not my right hand, though.”

Thoughts?

ATF 5-9 Continuous

Has anyone seen any movement on this announcement? I applied last month and haven’t heard anything.

I applied to the GS11 posting and got a not eligible email about a month after.

ATF Hiring Question

I just recently applied to the latest ATF GS 5-9 announcement. I’ve only applied and have gotten a TJO from HSI on a DHA announcement; so I’m not entirely certain how ATF offers office locations? Do they give a list? Dream sheet?
