Hey Finchy campers, camp's been quiet the past couple of days, but we're not rolling up our sleeping bags quite yet, Cherry just got unexpectedly busy.

I encourage all my camper to think about what adventures they've been up to and the friends made, because soon we'll be writing some letters "home" to share all about it.

As the night creeps up on us, it is once again time for birdies to gather around the campfire.

We've had a few shares on creative Cryptids, with the Jersey Devil AdAncient1869 shared, and the Leafy Lurker created by Laisin.

For those creative Finches, it's time to grab your favourite creative tool and make some fanart of these Crypids, or any new ones they inspire in you…

Yoli and Dodde got a touch too caught up in making our own Cryptid creation and suddenly...it's nearly midnight, at least here.

So campers are welcome to spend another night around the fire telling stories and we'll have an earlier kick-off tomorrow for the field guide art designing.

Good morning sweet finch campers! We have found Yoli once again! Our little bird tuckered themselves out running left and right getting things ready, when they stopped in the redone book nook for a quick break, Yoli plumb passed out. A big thank you to our wonderful campers for their help in searching, and to Violet & the RAs for finding extra beds for some of our campers. (Oops, Yoli is sorry we took over your cabin, but that corner just looked so darn cozy...)

With our camp director safe and sound, the breakfast buffet has it's greeter back, and Yoli will be at a table near the entrance, starting with a muffin for breakfast.

We'll also have our campfire up and going tonight proper this time, as Yoli's got everything but the food ready to go. I suggest bringing your favourite Cryptid ideas 😉

Crickets chirp as the night air draws heavy over camp. Where has Camp Counsellor Yoli gone with the firewood supplies?

The eerie silence starts to spread as one by one, finches arrive with marshmallows notice a missing leader and no roasting campfire...

Courtesy of some creative chefs, we've got some fun smoothies to try in our breakfast buffet this morning! Make sure you stop by and see what's new.

This evening, I think it's time for a big group campfire. Make sure you've got some marshmallows handy!

Good morning finchy campers! I hope everybirb was able to have some relaxing time yesterday in the storm. We've got the breakfast hall cleaned back up from the odd bit of mud, and breakfast is on the house! (As always 😛 ) Yoli themselves are enjoying some orange juice and sausage as a starting point.

In camper news, Violet has been doing a wonderful job getting the book nook back up and I encourage everyone to stop by to say thank you, and stay a bit if you've got the time.

This afternoon Dodde is hosting some Kitchen Mania! We've got some sweet treat recipes ready to go for anybirb who'd like to try their hand in the kitchen.

Good morning campers! The sky is looking a touch dreary today and the barometer is judging a storm, so I think it's a good time to haul out the pancake breakfast! When you're ready to eat, come down to the breakfast hall. We'll have the common round pancakes, some tents and trees, and if you don't mind waiting, I suspect chef Dodde can whip up initials or other creative shapes.

Naturally, if pancakes aren't your thing, there's the full buffet spread still out too, and the hot drinks bar is up and running.

There's no hosted activities today as human Cherry needs to handle their own camping prep, but come share what you like to do on a rainy day, or maybe what kind of comfy & cozy space you like best.

It's looking like a good sunny start to the day, and I'll invite you all to wander the breakfast hall when you're ready to start your day. There's also a group near the main meeting hall if you'd like to do some stretches, Animal Crossing style.

Personally, Yoli will be joining the stretch group after grabbing some hot chocolate and a muffin. It may be summer, but what is hot chocolate but a camping staple?

This afternoon, we'll be taking to the water for some canoeing and taking advantage of the full rivers, so keep an eye out for that post later on the bulletin board if that sounds fun!

As you may have seen from our announcement, we've been having a fair bit of rain, and it appears to have washed the cabins clean down the river! Yoli & Dodde have been hard at work collecting supplies, so every camper will get the chance at some choice in their cabin colours.

We've gotten a large chunk of cabin fixtures (Walls/Windows/Doors) and furniture ready to roll, so toss your top 3 colour wishes & friend code in the comments and Yoli will drop by with something that matches your vibe.
