Kicked out of a Tarot reading for playing old school magic.
A friend and I signed up for a Tarot reading with a local fortune teller. It was $5 and we each received one reading each from the woman in charge. The idea was that we were supposed to let her reveal tarot cards and tell us our fortunes.
Instead of learning our fates, we decided to play Old School with ante from the Tarot deck. Naturally, we were using cards like [[Contract from Below]] and [[Jeweled Bird]].This drew a small crowd because it isn't something believers in the arcane see every day. The mystic found out, came over and told us that wasn't allowed and we needed to leave. I've never been kicked out before.
On the way out, I asked if we were being banned. They said no. We could come back on another day, but we had to have our fortunes read specifically and we couldn't play for keeps.
